GreenDesk stores information in a Project Model Database (using an object database).
Users typically have one or more Projects in the Project Model Database. Data entered into rich interactive web worksheets, and answers to questions about a project, are stored in the Project Model Database and assessed against green rating scheme credit criteria or criteria for an industry standard.
The exact structure of each of each Project Model Database is different for each version of GreenDesk, according to the rating scheme or industry standard certification it is addressing.
For green building rating schemes it stores a Building Project Model, which not only has information about one or more buildings, but also information about all aspects of a building project that impact on qualification for a green building rating scheme, including management aspects, human resource aspects, data about the building site, and even information about parking and public transportation hubs.
